Rachael M. Fagenson has extensive experience in maritime, personal injury and civil litigation. She has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of litigation, including claims involving personal injuries, wrongful death, sexual assault, toxic torts, elder abuse, employment issues and contractual disputes. She has obtained favorable verdicts for her clients in jury trials, arbitrations, and on appeal.

Ms. Fagenson grew up in Rochester, New York. She obtained her B.A., magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California in 2007, where she double majored in Philosophy and Political Science. She received her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2011, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Psychology, Public Policy and Law Journal. Before relocating back to California and joining Coombs & Dunlap, LLP, Ms. Fagenson was a Partner at a Miami-based litigation firm where she represented clients in the maritime, shipping and hospitality industries in a wide variety of matters, including personal injury litigation and business disputes. She also spent 3 years working as in-house litigation counsel for Norwegian Cruise Line.

Ms. Fagenson is admitted to practice law in California, Washington and Florida as well as in Federal Court in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Napa County Bar Association, the Napa County Women Lawyers, the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (“WISTA”) and the Marine Recreation Association (“MRA”). Additionally, Ms. Fagenson regularly volunteers with STAND! For Families Free of Violence, an organization that provides support to survivors of domestic violence in Contra Costa County.

When not practicing law, Ms. Fagenson enjoys playing tennis, traveling and going on culinary adventures with her husband.
